Aubrey Nuzum of Aubren Limited Awarded Entrepreneur of the Year
Aubrey Nuzum, Managing Director of Aubren Limited has been named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Laois Business Awards 2017. The award is given in recognition of Aubrey’s hard work and pioneering approach to making Aubren Limited an important exporter and employer within the region.
“I was genuinely surprised to have won but it is a great honour to be chosen and all credit must go to the entire Aubren team. It is vital that we recognise businesses that support and add opportunities to the region as it inspires other entrepreneurs to go out and establish their dreams” said Aubrey.
Aubrey previously served as Managing Director of the Irish subsidiary of German owned ebm-past for 10 years before buying out the facility and establishing Aubren Limited in 2010. Since then, the company has grown from strength to strength with recorded 30% growth last year and similar forecast for 2017. The company currently employs 53 people in Portlaoise with plans to create 32 further jobs in the next 18 months.
Aubrey was one of 28 nominees short-listed for the Laois Business Awards which was hosted by RTÉ broadcaster Marty Whelan in Portlaoise on the 28th of April 2017.

The nominees range from the very small one person business operations through to the large companies that make up the Laois business community.
